Gregory M. Gill

A Graduate of Frostburg State College (University), with a B.S. degree and University of Maryland School of Law with his J.D., Greg has extensive experience on funding and policy matters.  He counsels clients on legislative and regulatory matters across a broad range of public policy issues, including defense, health care, foreign relations, transportation, higher education, and biomedical research.  He lobbies on behalf of clients before the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, Congressional committees, and federal agencies. He responds to congressional and agency actions and provides strategic advice to his clients on appropriations and policy matters. His diverse clientele has included corporations, businesses, foreign governments, and nonprofit organizations. He has lobbied for numerous business interests – both individually and as part of business coalitions – on such topics as intellectual property and the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA). A highlight of his career was shepherding through Congress a comprehensive plan to bring the U.S. government’s rules for “conflict diamonds” into international compliance. He has helped secure crucial federal funding for some of the United States’ largest hospital networks and universities. During his tenure on Capitol Hill, Greg served as Legislative Director to former House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) and as a staff member on the House Appropriations Committee.  Professional memberships include the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association and J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association. He is a Vestry member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Croom, Maryland.
